If you want to find out more about Dianetics and Scientology, the best way to do this is to read an L. Ron Hubbard book on the subject. I personally recommend you read Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health.
This book really helped me with understanding myself and my fellow man. It taught me man is basically good. That there is a reason for man's inhumanity to man and to himself. And that you and I can rid ourselves of that mechanism.
Here is an example: Imagine that the mind was a glass of water. Nice and clear. Now put some sand into it and shake it around. That is the mind of a normal person on a good day. Now let that sand settle down and the water is clear and the sand is on the bottom. That is the mind on a very good day or after a few hours of Dianetics. At the end of doing Dianetics, the sand is no longer in the glass. Now you can shake the glass all you want the and the water remains Clear.
